Brice Maiurro is a poet and writer based in Denver, Colorado.
In October 2018, he founded South Broadway Ghost Society,
an online arts journal and community.
In 2017, he founded Punch Drunk Press,
which publishes poetry books for Colorado poets,
provides an online literary journal with a global community
and hosts events including Punketry!
He is the author of
Stupid Flowers, his debut collection of poems
as well as his forthcoming second collection of poetry
set to be released in early 2019.
His writing has been featured both online
and in print publication by The Denver Post, Stain’d
Suspect Press, Be About It Zine, Birdy Magazine
and many other places.
His poems have been featured in anthologies put out by
Naropa University’s Beats Periodical, in Stain’d’s forthcoming
Blood Edition, as well as Spaceboy Books.
Maiurro’s work strives to find the divinity in the mundane,
and find humor where it may not be expected.
His poems and short stories tie together the lines of magical realism,
surrealism and dark comedy often to piece together social commentary
or confessional prose.
