Brice Maiurro is a poet and storyteller based in Denver, Colorado.
His second collection of poems, Hero Victim Villain,
is out now from Stubborn Mule Press.
He is the Poetry Editor for Suspect Press.
In October 2018, he founded South Broadway Ghost Society,
an online arts journal and community.
In January 2019, he was recognized by
Westword Magazine as a Colorado Creative.
In 2017, he founded Punch Drunk Press,
which publishes poetry books,
provides an online literary journal with a global community
and hosts events including Punketry!
He is the author of
Stupid Flowers, his debut collection of poems.
His writing has been featured both online
and in print publication by The Denver Post, Stain’d
Suspect Press, Be About It Zine, Birdy Magazine
and many other places.
His poems have been featured in anthologies put out by
Naropa University’s Beats Periodical, in Stain’d’s Blood Edition,
Horror Sleaze Trash, a forthcoming anthology from
8th Street Publishing, as well as Spaceboy Books.
Maiurro’s work strives to find the divinity in the mundane,
and find humor where it may not be expected.
His poems and short stories tie together the lines of magical realism,
surrealism and dark comedy often to piece together social commentary
or confessional prose.
