A Poetry Workshop on the Continuing Process of Learning to Love Yourself Better
Someday I’ll Love The Poem is a three-day intensive poetry workshop. Participants can expect to leave the workshop with a second draft, if not final draft, of one poem.

“Someday I’ll Love the Poem” is best-suited as a three-day workshop with 3-4 hour sessions each day, though it can be adapted.

This is an intimate workshop designed for 6-8 participants
Cost
This is a free workshop. In some venues, there will be a sliding scale donation to raise funds for the venue or other organizations.
Day One
Group Discussion of Three Poems

Day Two
Authentic Storytelling & Generative Workshop Time
All participants will be asked to tell an eight-minute story, related to the theme of self-love, to other participants in an intentional environment.
The second part of the day will offer time to write to the prompt.
Day Three
Poetry Workshop
Using the same method as day one, participants will share their poems and we will collectively offer workshopping of the poems.

Participants of this first workshop will be asked to fill out a brief survey to provide feedback on the workshop after the end of day three.
Participants for this workshop will be selected to create a diverse group, considering race, gender, sexuality, ability, as well as to create a group with varied experiences with workshopping.
As spots are limited, applicants can opt in to be notified of future workshops, if they wish to be.
